Call of Duty: Black Ops

The video game of the year! Was released at midnight last night. Both my boys (in different cities) planned on standing in line to get it. David in Madison and Nick here in Greenfield. I don't know how they do it in Madison but here in Greenfield it was kind of like a tailgate party. Grills going, projection TV's, fog machines, people in "costume" -- really a sight to see. Keep in mind... these are video game people --- standing in line for 5 hours to get a video game -- probably the most fresh air these kids have seen all year!! (lol... not including my boys)

This morning I got the following response when I asked how it was........ "DUDE"

Honestly, my kids really lucked out in the Grandparent department - I couldn't get better grandparents than my parents.....so.... I thought it really um..interesting when I got a facebook update from Nick (13 years old) while he was spending the night at my parents house. It says

"Spending the night at my grandparents house - really cool - my Grandpa is teaching me to count cards! Look out Las Vegas-in like 5 years"

A very proud moment for me! But... I FINALLY get to give my father a "lecture" after 42 years!

Toilet Paper

Someone please explain to me .........

..... if no-one knows where to put newly purchased toilet paper (it goes in the cabinet dummies!) why do I ever have to buy MORE toilet paper? Because -- If no-one knows where to put it, how do they know where to get it from once the old roll runs out??

Really people??? HUGE packeage of toilet paper on the bathroom vanity for 4 days and no-one puts it away?

They must be using their hand when the roll runs out .... which could explain why I am always replacing the roll.. but it DOESN'T explain why I haven't run out of handsoap in a really long time.

These are my thoughts for today.... sad really... but these are my thoughts.

P.S. anyone that visits my house.. I have stored that HUGE package of toilet paper in the closet in my bedroom!! LOL

Last 8th Grade Picture on the Jungle Gym

This jungle gym at St Jacobi has been there (in the same spot) as it was when I attended school there! This year due to some grants our school has gotten these will be taken down. It is like the passing of a torch! But here is Nick with his entire 8th grade class having their picture taken ... the last class to ever have their picture taken there.

I wonder where my class picture taken there is??

Forehead Game?

Has anyone ever played this game? It is a favorite with Lisa and her family - so 1 night after AMAZING homemade authentic spanish tacos made by Lisa's dad we played the forehead game.

You pick a character (human or animated) for someone and tape it to their forehead and the person has to try and figure out who they are. Not as easy as it sounds. Mine was Cinderella and when I asked if it was a real person they said yes!! Hmmmm unfair..... The hardest "character" on the group was poor Mindy -- she was Jesus. There was MUCH debate after every time she asked her question!!!

Here is the gang at Nicks early, very cold football game for the Jr Vikings. Staying warm with family filled with laughter -- you just can't beat that!

Some kids only have 1 parent show up for games .. sometimes 2. Nicks' Uncle, his grandma & grandpa, aunts, cousin and brother (and girlfriend) come too! I hope he realizes how blessed he is... I know I do!
