Connection

Davids Arrival! I really hadn't realized how long it had been since David had been home from school.... Nick however had been counting the days.. over 100 days! My boys never cease to amaze me, they may be almost 10 years apart in age but they have such a bond. They have worked throughout the years (ok, David probably did MOST of the work) to create a common bond between them to spite the age gap.

This picture was taken in the kitchen shortly after David got home and honestly this was the BEST point in the entire weekend visit. Both boys sitting at the kitchen table, while I got the rest of dinner put together, reading and discussing the "Strategy Guide" for The Call of Duty game for XBOX. I didn't even care that it was a video game they were talking about it was how they were doing it. Figuring out the best weapons to use etc.. it was just listening to them enjoy each other. That combined with the smell of Chicken Fricassee ... life just doesn't get any better than that!
